I'm going to be putting out some snow safety podcasts and we are starting with this one with Alain Duguay whom on March 17th, 2013 he and his friends found themselves in the path of an avalanche that was classified as a size 3.5.  They were in Cherry Bowl in Terrace BC and in terms of the avalanche’s destruction -- it’s right in between being able to destroy a small building or destroy a railway car.

It’s a happy ending as he and his friends were rescued by four Terrace locals and serves as a living testament to what it feels like to be buried alive and how a few extra turns ultimately put them in the path of the white dragon.
